Bianca Smith gloved another catch at first

Brewster gloved the first fly ball, while
Smith fielded a hit to third base by Betina

An accidentally thrown bat on the hit made

Brewster sent a ball deep into right field
for a home run.
Pash was caught once again in left field,
this time by Echunga’s Siemans.
Soon after a well-fielded bunt by pitcher
Hannah VanVught resulted in Echunga
keeping Strath to just three runs for the dig.
Echunga was unable to get hold of any
pitches in their turn at bat, with Brewster
pitching to Martin tallying up three K2s.
Strathalbyn kept the intensity up in the
third dig with consistent safe hits, and this
time round Pash managed to swing her hit
around to deep centre field for a home run.
Smith (Strath) was caught by Echunga’s
Atkinson, who had moved to short-
stop which helped to slow the run tally
Echunga started to connect with the bat in
the third dig started by VanVught slipping a
ball into centrefield.
Unfortunately an auto-out for having to
play one person short came at a bad time,
interrupting Echunga’s momentum.
Alison Pope took a walk to first, and
Atkinson was hit by a pitch for a free pass
to first, pushing Pope around to second.
Shannyn Siemmens’ bunt was caught
by Martin to end the inning and hand
